EARLY LEARNING FRAMEWORK OVERVIEW

British Columbia’s Early Learning Framework was composed to help educators, principles, pedologists, communities, families and researchers understand the quality of education BC wishes to implement. Knowledge, education and learning are the stepping stones described in this framework and are connected to the vision the B.C public school system has for each student. The provincial government and communities work side by side in supporting children’s educational journeys by outlining the goals each educator should strive to reach. • Children are strong, capable in their uniqueness, and full of potential.
• Families have the most important role in contributing to children's well-being and learning.
• Early years spaces are inclusive.
• Environments are integral to well-being and learning.
• Play is integral to well-being and learning.

ECE certifications:

3 main certificate types:

• ECE 5 year certificate.
• ECE 1 year certificate.
• ECE assistant certificate.
