THE SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS FRAMEWORK:
Ontario provides The School Effectiveness Framework that is applied to primary and secondary education from kindergarten to grade 12. It highlights policies focusing on improving learning environments by:
- “Promoting inquiry focused on student learning, achievement and well-being that informs
goals and effective teaching and learning practices/strategies.”
- “Building coherence in and across schools and districts.”
- Using meaningful tasks, activities and experiences that are designed to foster thinking and metacognition and build on students’ diverse perspectives, knowledge and experiences.
- Making assessment for learning processes that are evident as students undertake authentic
and relevant performance tasks.
ECE Certifications:
- You must earn you ECE Diploma and apply for the College of Early Educators and get a certificate of registration. You may then practice ECE work.
