The Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) identifies that Canada has issues of systemic racism, unconscious bias, and widespread discrimination. The LPC is committed to the Anti-Racism Strategy (ARS).
Strengthening the Anti-Racism Strategy
The Anti-Racism Strategy has been the primary umbrella program for the LPC's efforts against racism. The program directs funding and resources to various monetary funds and social programs that work to counteract racism or resolve previous racist behaviours (such as the treatment of Indigenous peoples by the Canadian government.)
